The Dow fell more than 2,100 points on Thursday, Nov. 5, the day after it rose 1,104 points following Wednesday’s open. Trump called it “one of the Worst Days in History,” and The Hill’s headline quotes him telling investors “You only have yourselves to blame.”
The swing landed the same week Schumer accused Trump of “making inside trades on the stock market,” AP reported via PBS NewsHour. Schumer cited no trade. The White House has long denied any wrongdoing, and AP reports Trump conceded Democrats “did a good job.” Jeffries has promised a stock-trading ban for lawmakers. Whether it moves first is the next thing to watch.
