Burn the Playbook is a publication of RAVN Strategic Intelligence, LLC ("RAVN," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your use of burntheplaybook.news, our newsletters, paid memberships, digital products, forms, comments, and related services.
By using the site, creating an account, subscribing, purchasing a product, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Burn the Playbook publishes journalism, commentary, analysis, interviews, and educational material. Our content is for general informational purposes. It is not legal, financial, medical, tax, investment, or other professional advice. You are responsible for decisions you make based on the information you read.
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Paid memberships and one-time products are billed at the price and frequency shown at checkout. Beehiiv and Stripe may process subscriptions and payments for us. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
You may manage or cancel a subscription through the account and billing tools made available at checkout or on the site. Any refund or cancellation terms shown for a specific purchase at checkout control that purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Unless a product page says otherwise, digital products are licensed to the purchaser for personal or internal business use. You may not resell, republish, distribute, scrape, or use our paid materials to build a competing product without written permission.
The site, newsletter, original reporting, design, graphics, audio, video, and other original material are owned by RAVN or used with permission and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may quote short passages with clear attribution and a link to the original page. Any broader reuse requires written permission.
If you submit a comment, question, testimonial, tip, document, image, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it. You retain ownership of your submission, but you grant RAVN a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, edit, publish, and distribute it as needed to operate Burn the Playbook and produce journalism.
Do not submit material that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, invasive of privacy, malicious, or designed to disrupt the service. We may moderate or remove submissions and restrict access when reasonably necessary. A submission does not create an attorney-client, confidential-adviser, employment, or fiduciary relationship. Do not use an ordinary form or comment field for information that could put someone at risk; contact us first to discuss a safer channel.
You may not interfere with the site, probe or bypass security controls, introduce malware, impersonate another person, harvest personal data, make fraudulent purchases, or use automated systems in a way that burdens the service or violates law.
The services may link to or depend on third parties, including Beehiiv, Stripe, analytics providers, social platforms, and other websites. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.
The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise that every item will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for every purpose. Journalism can change as facts develop; we may correct or update published work.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RAVN and its officers, employees, contractors, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the services. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability will not exceed the amount you paid RAVN for the service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
We may change or discontinue parts of the services and may suspend access for violations of these Terms or risks to readers, RAVN, or third parties. We may update these Terms. The posted effective date will identify the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
